I went shopping! Shopping for wool and new magazines, specially for the summer. That's most of the time easy to knit and faster ready! That's the knitting for me! I found some real nice patterns, and so I buy the wool... Different colors of bleu in one... and wool with rose, a little pink and yellow. But now I found some patterns I am very scared... (yes I am!) Scared to knit, because when it is finisht it won't fit! So that I all do the knitting work for... nothing! I never knitted a big pattern... So is it starters doubt? Please convince me of starting and not be scared....

I started with my wool, lovely red and yellow, orange wool. What should I make of it? Well a little thinking... yes coasters! The color of the wool fits in the interior color, the bank, the wall color, so a started with new coasters. Only one is finisht yet.. more to come.
The coasters are also lovely as a gift! a home made gift.

I also started with a black crochet bag, just a simple bag, maybe I'll
put some crochet flowers on it, but that's everything.
When we went to Germany I thought that is a knitting country.. with lots of stores with wool, but NO, no shops with wool, and magazines with knitting patterns? No they don't have it. I fount in Holland one nice new magazine with nice things to crochet and knit... so lots of inspiration.

I love Books, reading books, hobby books etc. I have already a collection of knitting books. I was looking on the internet and I saw that there are lots and lots of English Knitting and crochet books… Than I have one thought ‘ I want them, I want them!’
I have to start saving for all the books. I have a look at bol.com I also saw a book of AMIGURUMI I love that sort of crocheting!!!!
The books are in Chinese, but there are lots of pictures, so you will understand the patterns. I only can buy the book on E-bay…. They don’t sell it in Holland.
They don’t sell any nice books about knitting or crochet…
But maybe I find some nice books in Germany in 3 weeks, I also can reed the German language… ( yes I did my school! ) but that was a long time ago… hiihi

Well I am going to crochet now… otherwise my bag is next year not ready!

Pin Cushion

This is my last finisht project… It is made by my crochet needle… so no knitting.
Al my needles are a mess. They are in 5 different drawers, I must always search for them, so now I made a Pin cushion To store all my needles!

I also started a new project! A rainbow bag. Also crochet! Special for the summer, al layers have different colors, so the bag will fit with al of my summer clothes! One thing a doubt about is the handgrip. Shall I make it long or short? A have plenty time to think about it, it takes a while to finish the bag.

The mouse pattern

( I will try to translate the pattern from Dutch to English)

Body and head:

You begin with 6 stitches ( in any color you want you’re mouse to be)
Knit 3 rows.
The 4^th row you have to change the color.
From the 5^th row you are going to make 1 stitch more in the beginning of the row.
You do this now with every row.
Until you have 32 stitches on you’re needles. If you have 32 stitches you stop with making more stitches.
Now you knitting until you have knitted 38 rows.
The 39^th needle you knit the stitches 2 to 2, after doing that you have 19 over.
Now knitting normally until row 42.
In the 43th you stitch again 2 to 2
The 45^th is the last row. Now you’re mouse is ready! Almost! You have to make the ears and the tale.

Ears:

Make the ears in the same color as the nose.
You begin with 4 stitches
Knit 1 needle.
The second needle you make 1 stitch more ( the 5^th needle has now 5 stitches)
You repeat this till you have 8 stitches on you’re needle.
Now you knitting one row more.
The next needle is the last needle you’re knit. Now one ear is ready, you have to knit this one more time.

Tale:

You can crochet the tale… The length is up to you.

Almost done. You can make the eyes with black wool. The ears come right above the eyes. Turn the mouse inside out, and make the 2 parts together.

Who is La Silvia?

I am a 23 years old girl. I am living together whit my boyfriend in Holland in a small village in Brabant. We have 2 cats, Bo and Juultje and we have a guinea pig, Mo.
I am working with a organization who helps older people stay longer at home at there own. We help the people whit cleaning there home, buying food and much more…
I love the job, because you’re helping people and they are very thankful. That brings a smile on my face.

I have different hobby’s , I love te read! One of my favorite writers is Karin Slauther.
She write thrillers, that is what I love to read. I love to shop! And last but not least I love to knit en crochet! I have also my own webshop where I sell my knitted stuff. If you want to look at my site surf to La Silvia Shop.

Mouse

My mouse...
We (my boyfriend and I) have 2 cats, of course they have Dutch names, Juultje and Bo.
In a book I saw a pattern of a mousse, so I knitted one and give them to the cats, well they love the mouse! They play all the time whit my knitted mouse, and I am proud of course. So now I sell the mouse’s in my webshop.

Hello I Am La Silvia, I am a Dutch knitting girl. Knitting and crochet is my hobby, I have also my own webshop where I sell my homemade knitting stuff.
